WASHINGTON REAL ESTATE · CONTINUING EDUCATION

Talk to us about putting your course online.

We’re building the production and platform side of online continuing education for instructors and approved schools, and we’re looking for a few early partners to shape it with. You review every script, and your name leads.

20 minutes on Google Meet or Zoom. Booking asks for your name, email, role and what you teach.

Your material becomes a script you sign off, then a course build, then a course under your name.

WHY NOW

Renewal comes around every two years. Your class could be ready when it does.

Every Washington broker renews on a two-year cycle and needs continuing education each time. Putting a class online to the state’s rules is a project of its own.

RENEWALRENEWAL

EVERY 2 YEARS

  • A purchase that comes back.

Washington brokers renew every two years and complete continuing education each cycle, with more required at the first renewal.

    RCW 18.85, WAC 308-124A

  • A rule-heavy format.

Online courses in Washington need several things built in:

    • knowledge checks in every unit, with remediation
    • an inactivity shutdown
    • proof of hours
    • identity attestation
    • instructor availability
    • an orientation and a course evaluation

    WAC 308-124H-840

  • A second job, built for those rules.

Producing the course, running a platform built for those rules, keeping records for 5 years and updating within 30 days of a rule change. Then search and marketing on top.

    WAC 308-124H

That’s the part we want to take on, so you can keep teaching.

HOW IT WORKS

Four steps from your class to a course online.

  1. 01

    Gather your material.

Send what you already teach from: outlines, slides, handouts, recordings.

  2. 02

    We shape the course.

We’ll draft scripts, knowledge checks and visuals from your material, timed to Washington’s course rules.

  3. 03

    You review and sign off.

Nothing is recorded or built until you approve the script.

  4. 04

It goes live under your name.

The course is offered through your approved school, or a school you work with, once its approvals are on file.

See every step

THE FULL PROCESS

What happens, step by step, and where you come in.

Your time goes into the parts only you can do: the subject and the sign-off. We’ll do the rest and show you where everything stands.

Six stages from outline to launch. Your review in stage 3 and the final review in stage 5 are gates: nothing moves on without your sign-off.

RULE CHANGE · RE-RENDER AFFECTED SCENES

The school of record submits each course to the Department of Licensing. We’ll prepare the materials the application asks for. We don’t submit, grant or predict approvals.

We’ll map this to a class you already teach.

WHO DOES WHAT

You answer questions about the subject, and we handle everything about access and accounts. Revenue and costs are discussed on the call, and everything is agreed in writing before work starts.

WHAT STAYS YOURS

Your name leads. Every time.

  • Your approval and your role.

You or your school stay the approval holder and instructor of record. Credential Rails is not a school.

  • Your name on every course and certificate.

The school and instructor come first. We appear small, as “Powered by Credential Rails”.

  • Your content and your learners.

Ownership and use of your material are set out in writing before we start. Your learners stay yours.

  • A pilot you can leave.

Start with one course. If it isn’t working for you, you can stop, on exit terms agreed in writing up front.

HOW WE PRODUCE

You review every script.

We’ll use AI to turn your outline and material into first drafts, so your time goes into correcting and approving instead of writing from a blank page. Nothing reaches a learner until you’ve signed it off.

  • It starts from your material.

Drafts come from what you already teach, with Washington scenarios.

  • Your sign-off is a hard gate.

You check accuracy, law and tone.

  • Your voice only with your consent.

If you want narration in your own voice, we’ll use it only with your written consent and a disclosure. Otherwise, a professional voice.

  • Updates without starting over.

When a law or rule changes, we’ll update within 30 days: edit the script, then re-render only the scenes it touches.

APPROVALS, TRACKED

PREVIEW · IN DESIGN, SHAPED WITH EARLY PARTNERS

Your name goes on last.

Each course page will stay private until your sign-off and the approvals it needs are recorded. You’ll see where each one stands, in one place.

Each course will carry a checklist:

  • Script signed off by the instructor
  • Instructor approval on file
  • School approval on file
  • Course approval on file
  • Final review of the built course
  • Ready to publish

Course details that depend on an approval will appear only once that approval is on file. The approvals come from the Department of Licensing, through your school. We’ll track them; we don’t grant them, submit them or speed them up.

Fields marked “Set at approval” stay empty on purpose.

THE PLATFORM

PREVIEW · IN DESIGN, SHAPED WITH EARLY PARTNERS

What every course will run on.

We’re building it with our first partners. Each piece maps to a rule in WAC 308-124H, or to something a learner, instructor or brokerage needs.

A course player that tracks seat time.

Time will be logged per unit. Idle time after a warning won’t count, and learners will be able to extend before a timeout.

UNIT 3 OF 600:14:07

Still there? Your time pauses in 60 seconds.

Knowledge checks in every unit.

Learners will pass each check to continue, and every wrong answer will get an explanation.

Which document must a broker provide before…

WHY

Explanation shown after a wrong answer, then retry.

Certificates with every required field.

A certificate with a missing field won’t be issued.

Records kept for 5 years.

Seat-time logs, attestations, exam results and evaluations, with an export when someone asks.

An instructor Q&A inbox.

Questions will land in one place, and our target is a reply within 48 hours.

LATER

Renewal reminders.

Learners will hear from your school before their next renewal.

LATER

A brokerage team view.

Who’s due and who has finished, for brokerages working with a partner school.

Accessible by design.

Captions and transcripts on every video, keyboard and screen-reader support, light and dark modes, and an accommodation path where fast-forward is off.

RULES

PREVIEW · IN DESIGN, SHAPED WITH EARLY PARTNERS

Built for the rules, not around them.

Courses will be offered through an approved school. We’re building every course for Washington’s distance-education rules (WAC 308-124H).

Washington asks forWhat we’ll buildBuilt
Proof of hoursSeat-time tracking per unit, with average completion times
Knowledge checks in every unitUnit checks sized to the course length, pass to continue
RemediationAn explanation on every wrong answer
Inactivity shutdownA warning first, an “I’m here” extension, then shutdown
Identity security and completion certificationIdentity attestation at enrolment and at completion, and the school’s counter-certification
Instructor availabilityAn instructor inbox, with our own target of a reply within 48 hours
OrientationA required first module
Course evaluationRequired before the certificate
Certificate contentsEvery required field, or no certificate
RecordsKept 5 years, exportable
Updates after a law or rule changeWithin 30 days

Approval stays with your school and the Department of Licensing. We never claim it.

WHO WE WORK WITH

Instructors, schools and brokerages.

  • Instructors

You teach a class brokers value. Put it online without building a business around it. You review every script and stay the instructor of record.

  • Approved schools

Add online courses without hiring a production team or building a platform. Your school stays the provider of record, and your name leads.

  • Brokerages

Local, current training for your agents, built with an approved school and shaped partly by you. Later, a view of who’s due and who has finished.

A brokerage works with an approved school, and the courses are offered by that school.

EARLY PARTNERS

We’re looking for a few early partners.

We’re starting with a small group of Washington instructors, schools and brokerages. What you tell us decides how the product works.

A few places. Costs and terms are discussed on the call, not on this page.

What early partners get

  • A say in the product. We’ll shape the review flow, the course page and the reporting around how you work.
  • First in line. Your course goes first into production for the pilot.
  • A direct line to the builder. You work with Tek, not a sales team.
  • Founding partner credit. With your permission, your name on the founding partners list.
  • Terms in writing, and a pilot you can leave. One course to start, with everything agreed in writing first.

What we ask

  • A class you already teach, and time to review its scripts
  • Honest feedback after each stage
  • A 20-minute call to see if it fits

FAQ

Straight answers before the call.

Answers about the platform describe what we’re building with early partners.

  • You or your approved school. The school is the provider of record, and its name appears on the course and certificate. Credential Rails is not a school and doesn’t hold or grant approvals.
  • Only a primary provider can teach those, and they can’t be licensed to another school, so the setup is different. We’ll go through it on the call.
